Unlike other companies that try to sell you expensive software that often doesn’t work as advertised and in fact ends up slowing your computer down, we want you to have the best for the money – even if it means not spending any money. Of course we will be more than glad to recommend the best paid for software and provide you with the most reputable resellers who have the best prices. We also want to share with you some wonderful free self-help resources. Computer Technology is not a secret – although some places try to keep you in the dark so they can squeeze more money out of you. We want you to feel comfortable with technology and learn to help yourself – we will always be here for Tech Support, advice, and help on the things that you are unsure about.

In October 2012, Microsoft released Windows 8 and Office 2013 at the beginning of 2013. At Pensacola Computers, we have been working with both Windows 8 and Office 2013 for over 2 years as Beta Testers for Microsoft. We offer free advice on upgrading to Windows 8, and we offer full support services for both Windows 7 and 8, and Office 2010 and Office 2013. Free Firewall Programs
A good Firewall is another essential part of your Computer security – without one your computer is exposed to the entire internet. The best solution is to use a combination of hardware firewalls (many routers come with this ability) and a good software firewall. A great feature of a good firewall is that it not only warns you about things trying to get into your computer, but also things trying to get out – as many Trojan programs try to do to send your personal data out into the cyberworld. If you are running Windows 7 or Windows 8, they both have pretty good software firewalls, for those who want a bit more control over their firewall, here are a couple of the best Free products available.
